The short answer is that Quebec needs leaders who already understand its system. The terms, the certification model, and the language of work are all different from the rest of Canada.
What is different about Quebec?
Retirement residences are RPAs and are certified by the province. Long-term care is delivered in CHSLDs, which may be public, private conventionné, or private non conventionné, and in the newer maisons des aînés in the public network. Nurses are registered with the OIIQ and nursing assistants with the OIIAQ.
Which roles do we recruit?
Directors general of RPAs and private CHSLDs, directors of nursing care, care leads, and other senior leaders who keep a residence stable and compliant.
How does a search work?
We start with a mandate conversation, then reach candidates directly and confidentially. Most searches deliver a vetted shortlist of two to four candidates within 10 to 14 days, and most mandates complete within 35 to 60 days.
